I suspect this is due to the better tolerances of their current subchasses, all with the armhole predrilled and, therefore, fixed.

The holes are still the same size as in the armboard so there is still a small amount of play, although less since the armboard position is more fixed. So it is still best to use the Kinky tool to make sure the distance from the platter spindle to the center of the arm bearing is exact. That way 3 point mount cartridges will be where they should be on Akito, Arko, Ekos, etc. arms. I would expect that the flat arm collar is done to save expense by using less material and having fewer machining operations for what is likely a very small, if any, difference in perfromance.

Koil sounds really good with Entity 1.0. My misgivings about too much warmth are gone. It's really nicely balanced in this system now (Black liner LP12, Lingo 1, Ekos 2, Koil, Entity, Wakonda, LK140, Kan 1s). Still slightly on the warm side but that's to be expected given the age of most of the components.
