This does not mean we'll get an Aro Keel. But if it all works out and there are significant sonic benefits, then...... everyone benefits!
So, as I said, it's work in progress currently.
Kind regards,

Linn can't count on Aro owners to switch to keel and Ekos but with Aro keel they could take those clients on board for the next LP12 upgrades with boutique prices."
Linn investigate Keel for Naim ARO

Unless the Aro has gotten a lot better since I last heard it around 10 years ago (and I don't think that it has) it won't stand a chance against the Ekos SE.Lego wrote:Just think maybe an aro +aro keel will tune dem better than ekos se +keel..
At the time I thought it was far from a first generation Ekos in performance. It had an interesting sound, but was dynamically coloured and not all that tuneful.
If anyone knows more about improvements made to the Aro, please enlighten me.
I think it is time to make a trip up north... The Aro can really make the LP12 sound good ;-) It is a very weird feeling to put the needle to the groove, but it gives the music really good flow and speed. I think alot has to do with the little mass of the arm...lighter mass requires a totally different setup to get the most out of the table. I have not compared it to the SE in a direct A-B-comparison so I can´t say for sure but it can surely perform better than most earlier Ekoses.lejonklou wrote:Unless the Aro has gotten a lot better since I last heard it around 10 years ago (and I don't think that it has) it won't stand a chance against the Ekos SE.Lego wrote:Just think maybe an aro +aro keel will tune dem better than ekos se +keel..
