Where do one listen to Lejonklou?

Post by beck »

Living in Denmark I have not yet found a place where I can listen to Lejonklou. Do I have to travel to Sweden?

Hi,

Where do you live?
There are currently 3 dealers in Denmark, Copenhagen, Arhus and Gentofte.
See the dealerpage:
http://www.lejonklou.com/dealers/

Better check beforehand if they have the specific gear that you wish to listen to.

Thank you! I called Scala Hifi in Aarhus but they said that they had listened to Lejonklou but didn't sell them? They are more interested in selling me Linn stuff.

I had better luck with Hifi Forum in Copenhagen. So that is where I have to travel to.

Ozzzy! Ozzzy!
Just a shot in the dark here......

Do you know of anywhere in the east of the north of England where one can hear "Freddy-Boxes"???

Donuk, also a proud owner, sunny downtown York.

Ok, perhaps they´re listed as a reseller, but only deliver on order...?

Best to alternatively try Kopenhagen/Gentofte then.
By then you´re almost in Sweden ;-) though the then nearest dealer over there is located in Goteborg - actually not a bad idea when you´re living in the north of Denmark and take the boat from Frederikshavn...

What are you interested in?
Maybe a nearby forum member may also soothe your curiousity.

Cheers,

Marco

Edit: see you´re already sorted, great. Let us know what you think.

Hi beck and others!

Apologies for the dealer page, it needs updating. Some will disappear and new ones will be added (currently in exciting negotiations). Will fix after my vacation.

In Denmark a lot of phono stages have been sold, mainly by HiFi Forum and HiFi Huset. I've planned to visit them and demonstrate my latest pre and power amps, but something urgent has always come in between. I hope to get around to it this fall.

If listening to Lejonklou is difficult - here is an alternative:

1 Find a friendly Linn dealer and listen to a well installed Klimax ( non exakt) system with the speakers of your choice.

2 Then close your eyes and imagine a better sounding system for half the price.

3 Then ring the nearest Lejonklou dealer and order with confidence.

It really could be that simple.

:-) Brilliant!
However, there's a factual error. Tundra Mono 2s are actually one third the price of Klimax Solos!

If anyone is interested, I currently have KDS2, Klimax twin/D vs Tundra stereo 2 into Klimax 350s.

I have always admired Fredriks products, but I think admiration for Tundra 2 is an understatement.

Anyone who has doubted 350s should have a listen!

I can vouch for the KDS/2, klimax twin and 350s sounding very good at Anthony's.

If the improvement in going from Tundra 1 to Tundra 2 is even half as good as with the Tundra Mono upgrade, then the above system will be seriously good.

I used to prefer Tundra 1.2 to Twin, so Tundra 2 should be much, much better.

I would love to hear the 350s in Anthony's system with a Sagatun or two. They do have a completely different presentation to my 242s.

I came away from Anthony's thinking it would be nice to replicate my system with 350s in another room of the house, leaving the 242s , which I am excessively fond of.

Hello Anwar,

Thank you for your observations. I am sure with the addition of some Sagatuns, you would enjoy my system very much. The Tundra 2 is so much better than the 1.2, Fredrik will have a big challenge to improve on it!
As you know I am very fond of 242s as well, and could equally happily live with them, so I understand your desire to replicate with 350s elsewhere.

Anthony

The bedroom above the242s is the ideal place for 350s, but someone will not even allow the Ninkas there and the poor sneaky is left valiantly trying to get something passable from the Kef eggs, which are forced to join it behind the curtains.

It's actually quite listenable; and if I can hide a Tundra stereo 2 in the same place, that may be the limit of my ambitions upstairs. Shame one can't stand the tundra on its side!

The Tundra Mono 2s really improved the sound from the sneaky downstairs, whilst I was waiting for the KDS/2 to return from Linn. Quite amazing really, considering they were driving the 242s.
