No more CD only Linn players
I know I said it last year but Linn are to stop producing cd players..I think... maybe ..yeh I'm pretty sure ..perhaps ....who knows!!??..Sacd and DVD still on going....

Actually, this appears to be official as seen in this story form the BBC:

Although I'd really like to know exactly what the BBC reporter means when he says "Yet it continues to make turntables for vinyl records, as there remains a demand for the quality of sound compression offered by older record technology." The quality of sound compression? Once again the lack of understanding of general news reporters shows through.

Once when I was interviewed, I got to read the entire text before it was published. But when it appeared in the paper, several things I said had been changed in such a way that they no longer made any sense. I got the impression that some wacko at the paper had read it and thought "surely this can't be right, he probably means the opposite!" and then added some last minute corrections to "rescue" the faulty article.ThomasOK wrote:"Yet it continues to make turntables for vinyl records, as there remains a demand for the quality of sound compression offered by older record technology."
The above quoted sentence reminded me of that, because if you just remove the word 'compression', it suddenly makes sense.
