I'm glad that you now can reap the benefits of the Silver. They're the cable equivalent to a very good and very revealing speaker.

I will make clips again and compare with my Blacks. Never waste a good opportunity to make clips. :-)

would be very interested to hear those clips and also what changed your mind (really only the one setup issue you mentioned?)
are they the same silvers you tested against the blacks long time ago or different ones?

I really enjoy the Simon and Garfunkel Song on your system. The challenge with this song is following the different texts of the two voices - the easier that works the more I enjoy it.
Its always impressive what you achieve with this CD Player.
In the former comparison I couldnt decide for black or silver - again silver sounded more clean but black more engaging.

I have really come to enjoy that song too and that is the main thing. The details regarding Black versus Silver is secondary though interesting non the less. :-)

Both are realy good, especialy on first song, but somehow I prefer "second" version. I don't know is it silver or black, but for me it have slightly better tune, more "nuances", "finese" ... Is it same feeling in the room I don't know .....

Black first/Silver second………. so you prefer the Silver interconnect clips. :-)

I agree that Silvers has slightly more “finesse”.

This time I prefer Black but there are other times I've liked Silver more. It's never clear-cut to me which one is best.
I have an idea. You should throw the Scottish made Silver version II into the mix and have them battle it out. Maybe you can borrow a pair from the local Linn dealer?

I prefer Blacks for the first S&G track

I prefer Silvers for the first 17 seconds of the 10cc track (cos the lead guitar makes more sense), and then when the whole band gets going I prefer the blacks.

Yes, in a kind of “nutshell” that shows the differences between my Black and Silver interconnects. :-)

….. and the (louder) 2007 remaster

Volume 3 notches down when comparing…………….. I prefer the “original”

Many years ago I bought the cheap CD player heard in the clips above. I never listened to it because it sounded bad compared to my Sondek.

With a lot of trial and error I now have a CD player (the same one) that makes me wonder if I will ever come back to vinyl…………

Setup matters!
