Lejonklou Boazu and D-class amplifiers

Post by papillon »

Dear All,
i could listen to a boazu amp connected to a Klimax DS and the demo was quite good!
now I'd like to know if you could compare boazu or tundra with the highly praised d-class amp like Nord Acoustics or Apollon Audio.
reading some comments i read comparisons with amplifier of 10,000 euros and the result is in favor of Nord Acoustics products. which is quite impressive.

now I'd like to know if you could listen to these amps in comparison with Lejonklou amps.

Thanks a lot for your comments!!

I didn’t had a direct chance to compare but the Class D amplifiers I had a chance to listen to have not really impressed me. They all sounded powerfull but liveless to me. But that was 2-3 years ago and not the Nord Acoustics.

That’s in fact what i have read.
That Nord or Apollon amps in d class couldn’t be compared with the d class of 3 years ago.

Hi,
I believe that Colin from Nord may be willing to lend a demo unit for a deposit and then if you can locate a Boazu a comparison can be done

I don't have big experience with Class D amps, only Devialet 200+ model. Believe me not impressed with musicality ... with flexibility it's ok ... But when it came to the point of caching the mining of music (is it Jazz or Classic) it's not as good as some well designed analog amps ...

I think they are using Hypex modules - these have been the ones I auditioned.
Many people like them and I dont understand why. But that is just my ears - however I am even more confident now that you should compare it with a Boazu.
Interested in your opinion if you was able to compare the two.

yes, we are talking about Hypex modules.
a direct comparaison is the best of course but I might not be able to do it anytime soon.

yes Selekt DSM use d-class amplifiers.
