Fredrik,
what is your verdict on Klangedang vs. Graham after the show?
Thanks

Matt
The T1s were brand new and a little edgy and harsh, something that I'm certain will disappear after a while (because mine don't sound that way at all and changed a lot with burn in). So groovy and fun, though!

The LS5/9 sounded more modern than I expected. Very nuanced voices, dry and tight bass (perhaps even a little overdamped, I'd say) and overall expressive and enjoyable.

Although both were good, I prefer Klångedang T1.

I also had a sense that we could have hooked up any speaker to the end of that completely separated dual Mono system (LP12-Kandid-SINGularity-SM-TM) and it would have sounded brilliant. There was really something remarkable about every record we played.

Having heard the Klimax LP12, SINGularity, SM, TM system I find that last comment very easy to believe. It is SO engaging!

For those of you coming to the Hifi Wigwam Show at Kegworth on 17th March, I've created (most of) my playlist on Tidal so you can choose something in advance.

For those of you who can't make it, you can hear what you'll be missing :)

Thanks Sunbeamgls!

Believe it or not I'm still working my way through last year's list!

Some fabulous stuff, and some not so fabulous stuff, but that is the subjective nature of our hobby!

Thanks for introducing me to Blues Company and good luck with the show!

There was a time where a "4 on the floor" was very popular in Detroit.

In ten days I'll be demonstrating my two MM phono stages and all the integrated, pre and power amp models at Ågrens HiFi in Gothenburg, Sweden.

In other words: Friday the 1st of March and Saturday the 2nd of March at Teatergatan 21.

I'm unsure of what times we start, so if you'd like to join, please give Nicklas at Ågrens a call at 031-810195 or email him at info@agrenshifi.se.

Welcome!

Thank you Nicklas and Fredrik for a great evening!
Interesting to listen to the difference between stereo and mono sagtun and tundra in different combos.
Think ML said it best when we compared sagatun stereo + tundra mono vs sagatun mono+tundra stereo.
“Party is over, time to go home” and “this sucks”, I might not agree that it was as bad as “sucked” but once again source first, sagatun mono with tundra stereo was better then the other way around. And hardly a surprise that the full mono setup was best.
Gaio 2 was not fun to listen to after slipsik 7.

Thank you all who came to this weekend's demos at Ågrens in Gothenburg!

I also felt that the "2+1 versus 1+2" comparison was perhaps the most interesting; Sagatun+2*Tundra Mono versus 2*Sagatun Mono+Tundra.

There are many, many systems out there with one stereo preamplifier and two mono power amplifiers. But there are extremely few with two mono preamplifiers and one stereo power amp.

Musically, the 2+1 system is a lot better. Much better pace, more nuanced and fun. The 1+2 system has more power and deeper bass, but lacks control and drive. I think everyone preferred 2+1, but some said they were not completely satisfied with any of these two options.

Then when I changed to 2+2 the music seemed to detach from the speakers and there was no more HiFi system, just the song.

Thanks again, I got some good insights from these two days.

I only know one which is the Passlabs XP30 from Nelson Pass. This one sells for 18000Euro. I have high respect for Nelson and for Fredrik so it seems two bright minds and 4 good ears came to the same conclusion.

Many thanks to all attendances on the Lejonklou event at ågrens hifi. It was a really great weekend! And many thanks to Fredrik Lejonklou for the excellent demonstration of his amplifiers. I fully agree with his review a few posts up. I'm really delighted to offer Lejonklou products in the shop and I will always evaluate and try to find the most musical additional products among our brands. Our most musical stereo systems definitely include Lejonklou amps in my own humble opinion. Also remember the hierarchy which makes the new Slipsik 7 even more fantastic product, and as long as you have a Boazu, you're doing ok! ;)
