Makes of Speaker Cable

Post by Starman »

I have just recently returned from a local Linn Specialist, were I demo'd Active ATC 19's. The subject of placement and speaker cable was discussed. We all agreed that to get the best performance from my current speakers it would be necessary to move them. I will post pictures later of the move. However, it was the cables that are a sticking point for me.
I currently am using Linn Silvers, one suggestion was to move to Chord. Having looked at the prices, how good are these cables over Linn and other makes?

Hi Starman

If you have looked around (and listened) on this forum you will know that many here uses old Linn cables for the speakers (k400 and k20).
I would not personally invest in new equipment (cables) before a long and heavy period of focus on setup.

I have moved my equipment and the speakers are in their new placement. Thankfully, the original Linn Silver (2013) cables were long enough and I will not be buying new cables for the time being
