Noticed what? As they say, if you notice this notice you will notice this notice is not worth noticing.
No idea why I am adding to 5+ pages of 'koncern'. New product? Wake me when there's news. No forum? No biggie; doesn't change the sound of my system. Heavy handed from Linn? Has been for a while... just not wrt the forum. Sad? Yeah, a little, but there is life outside of Gilad-world... so I have heard. Just Listen.

Never before seen the Linn forum shut down because of an upcoming release of a new product.

Amazon is about to release an amplifier.. if Linn was involved there in some way. That would justify closing the forum. But then again, I have no idea how Linn would be able to pull that one off!

The new product will be announced on Thursday. There will also be announcements of some product line changes. I can’t talk about any of them until then.

The forum shutdown is partially about that and partly about the future of the forum itself, as Gilad indicated.

I would imagine that moderation of that forum takes up a lot of (expensive) staff time, that could be put to better uses.

Interesting that on the X-Fi page the new Linn product is listed under "DACS".

I've seen the photo. Those speakers are B&W 804 D3's for sure, interesting they are not using Linn speakers for showcasing the new electronics. I've heard it said, by someone in Linn, that they are not a fan of B&W loudspeakers due to the very different materials used across the various drivers leading to lack of integration.

As for the new electronics, if that's it, talk about a me-too product!

Look more closely, the Linn photograph shows DACS RKERS - to me that's DACs and Amplifiers.

====== W A R N I N G ====== W A R N I N G ====== W A R N I N G ======

SPOILER ALERT

If you've not had a product launch in your geographic location, stop reading this thread now. Please bookmark this page and only come back when you have.

The new product is unbelievably exciting and we do not want to spoil Gilad's surprise.

Personally I've had to lie down somewhere safe until I could get my mind around the enormity of what I've just seen. Please excuse all typo's, I'm still feeling a bit weak and trembly

It all makes sense now.

I imagine the discussion in the boardroom when this was revealed went something like this:

- And what does ours look like?
- That is ours
- It looks just like a Naim Uniti
- Well, maybe, just a bit,
- No, we can't do that. Send it back
- Too late, we're already late to market with our product
- Oh god, the forum's going to be pissing itself with laughter over this
- Maybe
- When its announced, customers looking for information are going to go to our Forum. It's going to look bad.
- You've got a point
- What can we do?
- Close the forum?
- Brilliant!

It would be more convincing if you'd included some typo's ;) Be careful, the Linnternet Police may revoke your streaming privileges... If so, send us a message in a bottle / SOS* to the world :)

There MAY be a crucial difference.

Perhaps it will be in the shops in less than 14 months, and maybe it will actually work.

Kurious and kuriouser kould it be a komparison demo set up between Linn Akurate Amp driving B&W’s aforementioned speakers and the new Linn Kuniti which has multi-amps driving some new fangled (auto set up) Space Optimisation streamer/amp/phase array speakers split over two boxes to give new Bose like room filling sound?

Perhaps the Kuniti has a twin brother/sister/trans gender unit perhaps called the Kantata?

Whilst we’ve been discussing the Linn forum, this is what some wag on pink fish had to say about this forum:

“Lejonkelou forum is a kind of Tunedem Hare Krishnas temple”

Love it! :-)
