Got my Tarandus yesterday and now after 8h operation, they starts singing. *grinning*.
For the first minutes (+3 degrees outside), they were not fun at all but picked up nicely after an hour.
Based on previous experience, going to take a few days until optimum performance is reached.
Also, not sure if its any burning in as a few components are changed. Let's see.
Likely need to adjust the 4645C Xover as the bass is a bit different. Something is not quite right.
Yes, I think it's very likely you need to readjust the subwoofer settings.
As I believe you only have one source, use the "yellow dot" (Single Source) input and flip the rear switch down. Then use the upper output, which I find for some reason often sounds a tiny bit better than the bottom one.
I promised an update.
It took 2 weeks for the Tarandus to really settle down and start performing.
After adjusting the 4645C sub filter (quite a bit higher level and a small EQ adjustment), it's just great!
Clearly, with better incoming signal - better sub performance and better sub integration!
Interesting is that with Sagatun, it's perfectly possible to increase the sub bass level many dB's over the optimum level without destroying the overall musical performance as much, compared with the KK.
Sagatun offer not only more insight into music, but also more details with a deeper black background - as an audiophile would have defined it.
The macro- and micro-dynamics are different than before in a bit of a strange way, as sounds in the music mix now sometimes have a different loudness compared to before. Normally after an upgrade the dynamics getting increased for ALL sounds. Not this time. That got me a bit confused before the sub adjustment but afterwards it's just gelled together and made sense.
As I also appreciate good sound in addition to musical understanding, Sagatun is a nice improvement!
However I admit I miss the KK "high end sparkle sound", even if it's apparent it's just some distortion added.
Finally. The volume LED need some adaptation, but it's brilliant.
I am also very happy with my Tarandus upgrade. Improved control was clear from the start but they really start to sing after a few weeks. Thanks Fredrik, looking forward to the Tundra Tarandus upgrade!

Really strange but I think they still improving. Not by much but clearly noticeable. It's an awesome Preamp!
Funny but interesting!
It would be easy to say you're exaggerating, but I think you're right. I've been listening to a stereo Sagatun with the same upgrade, mainly to determine whether the upgrade should be the same procedure as with the Mono's. It changed a lot - from fat/boomy/blurry to tigher/in tune - during the first week, then some more but a bit less during the second, then sort of solidified during the third and I am not sure if it's settled completely yet.
It seems the cause of this is the high precision potentiometer that is added to the power supplies. Apparently this electromechanical device needs time to settle. It seems that mechanical devices are more prone to these burn in effects than solid state components.
How can it be permissible
They compromise my principle, yeah yeah
This kind of sound is mythical
They're anything but typical
It's a craze you'd endorse, it's a powerful force
You're obliged to conform when there's no other course
They used to sound good to me, but now I find them
Simply irresistible, simply irresistible
The music is so powerful, huh
It's simply unavoidable
The trend is irreversible
The pleasure is incredible

You're obliged to conform when there's no other course
They used to sound good to me, but now I find them
Simply irresistible
(They're so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went)
Simply irresistible
(They're all mine, there's no other way to go)

Actually, I haven't had a drink in over 40 years. I also don't take drugs. So I'm afraid there are no external influences I can blame this on - just a well known sick sense of humor. Plus an ability to dredge up (and modify when necessary) lyrics for any occasion! Just the way my brain works I'm afraid.

You are not alone! I am the one in my family everyone turns to when a song is needed (both lyrics and voice!) :-)
I got my three Freddie boxes back this afternoon after being sent to Sweden to be sprinkled with magic Freddie dust. I'll have to wait for a few weeks before my full write up but all I will say so far is.... I'm utterly blown away.

Did you mean the Tundra Mono power amps? I ran my ATC active speakers with the Sagatun Monos for some time and it was quite good but I don't think that is what you were asking about. Since the Sagatuns are preamps I don't really see how active vs. passive speakers would make any difference in their usage.
There is one Lejonklou owner who has Keltiks with Tundra stereo units on the mids and high with something else on the bass, I think maybe Bryston. I believe there was somebody else with Tundras Aktiv on something like 242s or Akubariks. I don't know that I've heard anything from either of them up here for a while but hopefully you will get a response.
