Is this the version that looks a bit different then the current version but has the same contents inside?
Does it have XLR inputs?
How old is it?
Would this be a good amp between my Akurate renew ds and Majik 140 speakers?

No XLR inputs - Linn make amps with XLR or phono inputs. This is a phono version.
It is the same circuitry inside as the current Akurate 4200 but in the older box.
It would work well between the Renew and the 140 - you can use it to bi-amp your 140s with 2 channels driving the tweeter/supertweeter and the other 2 channels driving the mid-bass/bass.
Not sure about the age, but it was a pre-Dynamik power supply version as the Dynamik power supply was added later as an upgrade.
