My Linn dealer (Klangstudio Pohl in Mainz) has an ex-demo pair for € 6.990,- He could probably ship them to the UK and deduct the VAT.

It looks like an interesting option but not sure the colour/location/price quites add up for me so I think I'll take a little time to see if there are other options.

Hi,
The ones offered by Ben, were sold roughly 3 weeks ago. A second pair, he owned, are now mine. 😀
It's the alternative for the 242, I was searching for.
