Linn Kinos Sleeve in Black....

Hi

I'm looking for a Linn Kinos sleeve in Black. Must be in good to reasonable condition. New or used. At a reasonable price ! Think its the same sleeve as Akurate / Majik pre amps, but not 100% sure, so will need to check.

Virtually all my electronics are in Black so thought I would go for a full set! Linn apparently will only replace sleeves now on a return to factory basis, at a cost of £400+ (?) which seems a bit crazy and unnecessary.

UK based.

I know one was for sale here recently but this was a silver item.

Thanks.

Changing a kinos sleeve is not a return to factory, it can be ordered by a dealer, and does not cost £400.
This only applies when changing the style of case, as in new style.

Yes, much closer to £100. I would suggest though a trip to Halfords and a purchase of a can of Matt Black Spray paint - remember to tale off the front face first and spray them separately.

Thanks for replies. When I called the Linn support line to order a replacement, I was told the policy had recently changed, and it now required a return to the factory, and the cost was £400 ! Couldn't believe it! ( Not sure the customer service person was too impressed with it either!)

When I queried this, it was said to be due to damage being done to the equipment by people fitting new sleeves themselves!

I'm going to see my dealer in a week or so for something else - I'll talk to him first then and see what they say....
