Are these strictly passive, or could they be run active with an Exaktbox 10 and five power amplifiers? I seem to remember that Linn has to bypass the crossover - do they still do this?

My contact Tony Lockwood has an Exaktbox £2750 . He says :- Yes 350’s passive can be run externally Aktiv using an Exaktbox. You only need 4 power amps as the Bass has built in Aktiv amps. They can be converted by moving 5 lots of cables from passive sockets to Aktiv sockets. Tony says he can talk through this if you are interested.👍

I am interested, but I think there's more to it than wiring.

In the user manual for the 350, it states that:

Standard models in fully Aktiv* mode. For Aktiv operation of the standard Klimax 350 model using external power amplifiers and Aktiv modules, please connect as shown below. IMPORTANT:Standard models of Klimax 350 loudspeakers must have their crossover module and power amplifier configuration modified by your authorised Linn retailer before connecting.

I seem to remember that Linn charged users to convert the 350P to Aktiv operation.

If we can get round this, then yes I am interested, and conveniently, I'm in East Sussex too!
