I do hope in many ways that Linn will block Renew's Sept 2016 going forward. This is not our sole opinion but we believe to be a general dealer consensus.

It is not a given that you will get this! There maybe change soon. Watch this space. The trouble is that all Renew's look the same, there is confusion and the original idea was to use in your home as a thanks for investing in the best original ie. early investment adopters.

Hi. I had typed a reply as I thought it was a forum post, not an ad. I clicked on a link from somewhere else.

Why this view? Explain the logic?
The Renew is a brilliant and very modern approach re-using old expensive circuit boards.
I have difficulties understanding how that can be anything bad, especially for you dealers. It makes the upgrades an easier sell and the Renew on the market bring new customers into the Linn-world. Customers without the financial muscles needed for Klimax gear.
However the Renew owner often upgrade over time.

= Linn obtaining a bigger customer base.
How can that be negative?

It's also totally against the strong trend: "re-use old stuff, don't simply put i the bin".
All humans on this planet have to be careful with our limited resources.
It's GREAT that Linn as the first highend brand adapted the Renew-concept!!

Nobody at Linn understood that customers going to sell their Renews, directly or later?
Not likely.

BTW #1
All DS, DSM, Exakt look the same as well...and what about the highly confusing designation "DS/1" on a mkII product?

BTW #2
The version is easy to check on the Renew label.

You as a dealer should be happy to be able to sell new stuff.
Don't worry - be happy :)
