A while ago I sold my Akurate 242 speakers to a person not wanting to go active because of the additional expense. No need to discuss this. For this reason I offer the Klimax Tunebox pair here. The tunebox is for the original version of the A242 and is in excellent condition, optically as well as technically. In my opinion it makes much sense to fully exploit the potential of the A242 by going active, and the Klimax Tunebox plays well ahead of the amp integrated crossovers. The 0.5 dB adjustment gives the special musical quality. Comes with OVP and costs 1920 Euro plus shipping. Collection is welcome, of course: Northern Germany.

Hi there. Are there different versions for such a Tunebox for the different variants of the Akurate 242? Or does every 242 Tunebox play all 242 versions?

Hi,
There are two versions due to necessary changes (end of life) of the speaker components.
The crossover (active as well as passive) has therefore to match the speaker.

THIS CHANGE WAS IMPLEMENTED FROM s/n 1144285
The crossover offered here fits up to SN 1144284.
