Linn 2250 Power Amp - Dynamiked

Please see below information which has recently been posted on the various forums I also subscribe to in the UK and is listed here for the possible interest of any 'Linnies'!

Up for sale is my black Linn 2250 power amp in near mint condition with original box, unused power lead, unused BFA speaker plugs and owners manual (this power amp has BFA speaker connectors but I've always used hollow Z plugs instead).

It has both single ended and balanced inputs/outputs and provides 230 watts into 4 ohm and 115 watts into 8 ohm speakers. The serial no (920989) suggests it to be one of the later versions of this amp.

According to information on the Linn forum, this power amp formed the basis of Linn's later Klimax Twin power amp and in its standard form was preferred by many in sound quality terms to the legendary Klout.

This one was checked over and upgraded 12 months ago with a new Dynamik power supply by a Linn dealer.

Again, according to what I've read on the Linn forum, the Dynamik upgrade transforms this power amp into a completely different performance league.

The basic amp originally retailed for £1995 and the recent Dynamik upgrade cost a further £470.

Asking £875 including UK delivery.

Only for sale because I recently scratched an itch and bought a valve power amp to match my valve pre amp. Any questions please ask.

In recognition that second-hand market conditions seem to currently be rather poor and before I put this very nice power amp at the back of my cupboard until such time as conditions improve, I thought I would make one last post to say that I would be prepared to consider sensible offers.
