LP's system

Post by Lio »

My Lejonklou system is finally settled upgraded from a Linn Activ setup and we are so thrilled !
And alway improving and trying things - actually liked the SOTM switch move

Källa
Innuos server (old and not-on-Qobuz records)
Superkikkin
Tundra Mono 3s
Linn interconnects (black)
Nordost speaker cables Tyr2
Graham 5/9f speakers on spikes
2x SOTM switches with 2x ext. SOTM power supplies (one of the 2 SOTM power supplies is set as 12V and powering both the entry SOTM switch and the ISP box : Bouygues telecom)
Generally use Qobuz

Next move .... maybe upgrade to a Sagatun or Sagatun M ?

Great system! Maybe wait for a new Sagatun? ;-)

Exciting system that I’d like to hear, Lio!

I think you’d need a Sagatun 1.7 to beat Superkikkin.

Unfortunately, I can't say much about your setup, as I don't know anything about it other than the monos. However, I have an idea of what the Grahams might sound like, as I tested the 5/5 and they harmonized very well with Fredrik's equipment.

I've never heard the Super Kikkin either, but I have heard the Sagatun monos, both in previous and current versions. If the SK can compete with the SM V1.3, that alone is remarkable. In my opinion, however, the SM V1.7 is a completely different "musical beast" compared to the previous version. I'm sure you won't forget the surprise so quickly when you switch.

Looks like a great system.

If you have not compared Spotify ( recommended settings) to Qobuz - might be worth doing. I had switched from Tidal to Qobuz but realised later that Spotify was much more musical than both.

I replaced my Linn Klimax Kontrol with the Lejonklou Sagatun Stereo preamplifier. Although the Linn was was more expensive than the Sagatun, it did not sound as good. Sure the Linn was musical and quiet, but the Sagatun was a much better sounding preamplifier, for a lot less money. No regrets making the change...that's for sure!

Cheers
