Yes, that's right Matt. NDS to 552 with Naim IC cable sounds better than NDS with ML silver cable to Sagatuns. And with this old ML cable were all recordings made comparing the 552 and LP12 as source to the Sagatuns. So I'm waiting for the Naim cable to swap that old cable.
Hermann,
the cable between NDS and 552 or Sagatuns is in my view extremely important and can most probably give preference to one of the preamps.
Matt
Sorry Matt, I missed your post.
As I already pointed out, the connection is important because the preamplifiers were compared via this cable. To rule that out, I'm waiting impatiently for the Naim cable.
Which arrived yesterday after much confusion. It now has about 13 hours of music behind it. Even if I could not listen properly, (side effects Covid 2nd vaccination) the warmup should be ok then. Will continue to put on records today and possibly post tonight the comparison, maybe tomorrow.
Setup is identical as before. LP12/Entity1.1/Radikal/Sagatuns/Tundra, correspondingly the 552 now with original grey Naim cable between Entity 1.1 and 552. The order of the power cables is kept, Preamplifier/Entity1.1/Radikal/Tundra.
My first impression is:
1 flows a little better, seems brisker, more rousing, but also a little rushed.
2 seems more earthy, more powerful, the music has more time to unfold.
I like them both. It's not easy for me to decide on the song. Maybe it needs another song.
1 got a somewhat better flow while 2 sounds a bit mysterious and being more deliberate with the rhythm. I fail to pick a winner here though, but after hearing this track many times I need to ask, is this a Boris Blank collaboration? It got that classic Yello vibe to it.
Thank you for your assessment. It is indeed very difficult to decide. The preamps are really very close. This, in turn, clearly speaks for Fredrik's developer quality. To play on the level of a device four times more expensive is outstanding.

I don't think so, it's John Grant from the album "Pale green ghoths". Great music from the first to the last track of the double album. Remains also available to order in green vinyl, which sounds no worse than black.
But I will post two more recordings, to make the decision easier.
Yuko Mabuchi Trio
Thanks defender. That's very unusual, I can't download them either, although the links have been pasted again. and are correctly shared with everyone. Don't know any solution at the moment.
That's interesting, as soon as I enter the copied links directly into the URL field, it works. Thats the same links as posted. But the old links no longer work from the forum either. ???
Edit 2
That's very interesting. I just had a chat with Google, but they wanted to charge for support, so I stopped after describing the problem. Suddenly I can call up the links. Very strange...

usually I could access your files without having to download them.
Now it said something like your google limit exceeded maybe you have to delete some other files.
Perhaps I should mention that the first two clips don't necessarily have the same order to the later clips. The later ones (Yuko/Black Pumas) have the order changed. Each clip of course recorded with different preamp.
It is difficult, but I would like to have more votes. The intermediate result is already extremely interesting.
