Lejonklou custom made speaker cable

Post by oudheusa »

When Frederik and Marco visited my home earlier this year to demo the stereo's vs the mono's, Frederik spent ample time on my speaker placement. He also took measurements of my Kef Reference 201/2 tri-wire speaker connections saying that he would make a proper cable for them.
What a big suprise when the cables arrived together with my Tarandus upgrades. Marco had provided Frederik with the Linn speaker cables and Frederik had spent a night soldering the connections. Although I shouldn't have been suprised given Frederik's meticulous precision, I still was when they appeared to fit perfectly!
A big thank you to Frederik and Marco!

Very nice!

Have you tried them the other way up, so that the HF is fed before the LF?

I have thought about that but the cables are quite heavy so I am not sure the soldering will hold. But I may try to see if there's a difference.

There is a difference between these two ways, but just like you say, there will likely be too much force on the joints of the top bananas. So I think it's better to leave them as in the picture.

Nope, wouldn't want too much force on the joints of your top banana! ;-)
