I can't really decide which is my favourite Neil Young album, there are so many: After The Goldrush, Tonight's The Night, On The Beach, Rust Never Sleeps, Sleeps With Angels... And of course this one (US original 1969)!

Last night I went to a gig by Nerina Pallot and Jodie Marie in the Phoenix Theatre in Exeter.
It was great to experience live music again. The Phoenix is such an intimate venue, and both performers came across as delighted to be performing again.
There were only about 100 people in the audience, so it wasn't a Wembley Stadium experience. The two artists acted more like hosts at a party than performers on a stage: working the audience and engaging directly with us. It was endearing.

I had never heard of her before last night. She sang accompanied solely by a guitar and every song was immediate and enthralling, instantly familiar.

A pity that she didn't bring a band, because parts of The Answer is kind of funky. Just bought a signed lp from her homepage.

I'll be interested to hear what you think of the pressing compared to digital. My copy carries a very strong static charge, and the music sounds muffled compared to digital - especially vocals. I'm hoping that dissipating the charge will release the music.
