Don't have any Black Sabbath. Just never appealed despite the raving about their first album. But I think it's time to give them a try.

Played 'Katy Lied' a couple of times today. I bought it ages ago but didn't play it much. I enjoyed a couple of tracks but overall it's not really grabbing me again now. Seems a bit mundane for Steely Dan. Is it a grower?

Also played 'Second Helping' (Lynyrd Skynyrd) a couple of times today. Had it on tape about 30 years ago and kinda forgot about it. Really enjoyed listening to it again.

Playing 'Miss Randy Crawford' for the first time now - fancied some female singing - seems pretty good so far.

I bought it about 10 years ago and have played it 2 or 3 times. It hasn't yet grown on me

Thanks - well, at least it's not just me. I will plug away a bit longer with it.
The other two I need to try again are Gaucho and Countdown to Ecstasy. Funny how time flies and records get put back on the shelf and forgotten about.
Love Aja, P Logic and Can't Buy a Thrill though.

Current lockdowns and restrictions (since November) pushed me to listen to more and more music, especially in vinyl.

The Karousel is sensational.

does anyone have the SADE This far box set as US pressing?
I want to make sure its really made in a pressing plant in the US as also Discogs doesnt show it as extra version. The EU set is Made in Germany from a pressing plant which doesnt do high quality pressings all the time.

As a Boss freak I would argue that on that particular album he really did dissapoint by his standards. Lucky Town is the much stronger of the 2 back to back albums in a rare misfire by Bruce. And it isn't great either. Should have combined both to make a half decent single album imo.

However, any Bruce is always a good thing:)

Stunning album, stunning artwork. The outtakes - jeepers. Bounty of riches.
Born to Run and Darkness back to back? Not many can claim that treasure.

Now add in Nebraska and Tunnel of Love........... always gold in the hills.

What's depressing me is that when I first got that record he looked like a mature man and quite a lot older than me. Now he looks like a boy. I try not to look at the cover of 'So' and 'Nothing Like the Sun' for the same reason.

I was tempted to share a video of me and Abigail bopping along to this:

It's difficult to compare, but my impression is that Radio Paradise is often more musical than Qobuz.

I'll try and capture some clips some time (sorry Beck!)

My personal moment was the year I realised my birth date was closer to the start of the First World War than the (then) current date.

But, hey: it's better than the alternative. Any idiot gets to be young. Making it to old is the real achievement
