Had to move the Valhalla deck to try something out so that's it for now. Can't believe anyone would want more of my clips :D

Briks were collected today. I feel a sense of relief although not sure why. I think it's just their physical size and how difficult they are to move.

Well, that Jon Strong track is ssstrong on sssibilance - seems to be inherent in the recording listening on YT - and I was surprised that the slightly krock'd Keilidhs could sound musical like that, tucked under the sloped ceiling, alongside the Bri(c)ks... I listened to Keilidhs a few times, back in the day, with Linn amplification, and they didn't perform in the same way... Maybe they just needed Naim amps to wake them up :? Kolour me Linntrigued :)

The 32/110 are not doing anything. You were listening to the Wakonda/LK140. Source was Valhalla/Ittok/VM95ML. To be honest, it's the most musically enjoyable system I can recall having.

Congrats on moving the Isobariks along Charlie, hope you won't think of this as a mistake one day in retrospect, nice ones are hard to find these days. I'll be taking mine to the grave FWIW, either my death or theirs Lol..

BTW, speaking about cables the other day, I just made up a pair of RCA to 5-pin Din Linn Black interconnect to go from my phono stage to 32.5 and so far it seems to be an overall improvement, will wait to see how it settles in though compared to the Red Chord Co. 4-core, but could be something here, and as others have mentioned overall preferring the Linn Silvers, I'm planning to make up one of those too one day soon.

Thanks Both,

Good to hear the cable was a success. Perhaps we can hear the benefit when it's settled.

Office is defo better with the record storage in place and think I might just get rid of the radiator entirely since I rarely turn it on...

Still not got around to setting up the speakers but will do soon.

Nice! That system seems to be able to deliver the meaning of the music. I’d likely choose it over any of the current systems I’ve heard from the brands involved.

I’d be interested to hear how it sounds with a more dynamically challenging track.

Koil replaced with VM95ML but not enough bass with Kans and Lingo. Should be ok in the office though.

Thought I'd do a couple of clips now and see how the Slipsik 8 has run in after a few weeks.

Absolutely Matteo!

This one is a shout out to the VM95ML - this song was horrid with the Adikt (and VM95C/E) with so much inner groove distortion making it unlistenable from the start. Adikt might be ok on a modern Karousel deck but not mine. And the ML is only 130 quid for a replacement stylus! S8 helping as well now of course...

Downside is that with S8 I'm perhaps playing these 40-year-old speakers too loud now?!! :D

I’m going to listen to your phono stage comparisons later today.

That’s absolutely bang on charlie1! As far as video clips go, that’s practically as good as it gets, if not even better! Congratulations, all your hard work is paying off. That’s a great system your putting together there! Well done!
