Hi all!
As a new member I feel obligated to present my system:

3 x LK100 (w. active crossover)
Kaber
Kairn
Unidisk 1.1
Lp12; Valhalla, Circus, Trampolin2 & Adikt (on an Akito arm).

My latest source is the 1.1 which gave me a completely new listening experience. Soo darn good.
Also, my Lp12 is recently upgraded (by Fredrik) with the above components. This also gave me a boost to dig into my vinyl collection (mostly blues on DECCA, Prestige, Bluesville and Blue Horizon).

Cheers,
Bobo

Well, it's not as easy as it may seem to decide when you've got a Unidisk 1.1. :?
At first I was totally sure it was the 1.1 but when I, a few days ago, received my upgraded Lp12, boy, it sounds so good.

(But keep in mind the "old" equipment was really worn down). The K18 cartridge was totally worn down.
And I really have a "soft spot" for the analogue sound. It's warmer and more "sensitive", I think.

I connected my 1.1 with component cables yesterday.
And, man, what a difference it made. The picture was so much better than my previous DVI connection. (The RGB is not even worth mentioning).

Any of you out there have any comments?

Interesting. Component is often very good in my experience.

But it depends on what signal the screen handles best. On my CRT (big fat Philips TV), RGB is best. After that comes, from second best to worst; component, S-video and composite. It doesn't handle DVI.

Yes, I have often heard that RGB is best on the "ol' big fat ones".

But really, I have always thought the DVI connection was the best. My first experience was a BBK connected with DVI. Very good picture. Never compared it with component, though.

I have heard other 1.1 owners claiming component is best.
