Thanks for the info. CheersDavid Neel wrote:Current beta versions are located here (if the page is blank that means there is no current beta):

I tried the latest one and a few more recommended Davaars yesterday and I still think my good old 4.14 is the best one. It's a close call between 4.12 and 4.14 but I find the latter to be the most musical one. I could happily live with 4.12.Music Lover wrote:And half a year later - what is the most musical firmware today?
It's mot about judging, I only compared 4.12 and newer before I was reminded.Music Lover wrote:Eric
4.1.10 was released as Beta in april 2011.
It's possible that nowadays, when you have a better equipment (and also an updated Harmonihylla as well as LS-NAS introduced 2013) - it's easier to judge.
I suggest we all compare.
My KDS is upgraded to the latest /2 spec (=first type of DS with analogue out, no HDMI)
Can I use old firmware - anyone that know...or tried?

I really admire your restraint! Why I messed with something I was really enjoying, heaven only knows!!! I only hope that I haven't encouraged anyone to upgrade their DS before we're sure D35 is an improvement. Apologies if that's the case.anthony wrote:Spannko wrote:Just a quickie. Thats interesting, as I was tempted to upgrade from Davaar 34 after your favourable comments on Davaar 35.
Having heard 35 on other DS's I feel, yet to be proved, I prefer 34 as well.
Certainly with a KDS2 Tundra and 242s it sounds excellent.
Have also enjoyed it with Exakt akubariks.
I'll have a look on my computer to see if I've got a copy of D34 so you can give it a try. I may not have one because I downloaded directly via Konfig and I'm not sure if it keeps a copy. If not, we'll have to put out a call for a copy.stefan wrote:Davaar 34 is removed

I've just installed 35, going from 32. Clearly better IMO. I've tried 33 but found it less musical than 32.
Thanks for your offer Spannko but I have ADSM/1. The file AkurateDsm_4.34.xxxx.zip it's the only thing that would work really.Spannko wrote:I'll have a look on my computer to see if I've got a copy of D34 so you can give it a try. Looks like it's only a concern if you have Exakt outputs on your device, so fine for anyone with a Renew, for instance.Fixed problem where certain DS devices with Exakt outputs would not boot with Davaar 34
Thanks kampak, I've replied via PM too.kampak wrote:@Spannko - you got PM
