What about the musicality of the "new" Tidal vs Qobuz vs Spotify?

I did a trail month with Tidal from May 11 and Qobuz won hands down. But it may well be that I compared with a lot of MQA material which my Linn don't support (who knows?). Also, since I'm likely not the only one here with a Linn streamer it is worth noting that Linn restricted Tidal hi-res to 44/24 för everything except their current genereration of streamers.

I don't have Spotify but I did a premium trail earlier this year and that was certainly more fun than Tidal.

Edit: Forgot... Tidal removed support for Kazoo so only available from the newer Linn app. No problem if you use a tablet or phone but for Windows PC there is only Kazoo.

I would imagine this is all tied in with MQA going bankrupt last year and Lenbrook (Parent company of NAD, BlueSound and PSB) acquiring rights to MQA products and also their engineering staff. They appear to have plans for some things that are not based on the MQA codec. However, since they have been big pushers of MQA, incorporating full decoding into all the Bluesound gear, including modules licensed to NAD, PSB, Dali and others, I don't think they are going to want to let MQA coding go altogether.
