I've just swapped out my Hakai Linn Black interconnects for 'nearly new' Linn Silvers.
Initial impression is that the Silvers sound more impressive but harsh. Definitely less enjoyable than my Blacks, which I've been using for about 10 years.
Should I stick with the Silvers? How long should I give them to burn in?

Re: Linn Silvers
In my experience sometimes the Blacks sound better, especially when considering an Analog only playback system. I own a few pairs of silvers FWIW and A/B them against the Blacks when ever I make a move or a gear change and for me it's not always cut and dry that the Silvers are always "better". And when I say better I mean is the performance better?, more in tune? ...But yea, give them several days and see if they settle in.

Re: Linn Silvers
They don't have a version. The cable is labelled "analogue interconnect" and the phono barrel is slotted.

Re: Linn Silvers
yes the newest ones are the Interconnect II - you have the earlier version. Are you sure those are orginal factory ones? otherwise the only idea is that the barrel is sitting too tight on the cinch connector (other side)
but some simply like the blacks more and blacks have the advantage of not sitting as tight as silvers
maybe you provide us some comparison in the playground?

Re: Linn Silvers
I'm currently running them in and I'll post clips in a week or so. The good news is that they seem to be improving.
