Linn AKurate 4200 Internal Cable Disconnection

Post by 2020VIsion »

I am in the process of tweaking my Akurate 4200. I wish to remove the link between the two halves of the board. Just checking if the cable that is labelled Link 14/14 is the one that I remove?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you mean a music signal link between each half? IIRC there is no music signal link between the 2 boards.

I have already removed the two internal, interchannel links - ie the one between channels 1+2 and the other between channels 3+4.

It is a different cable that I am trying to identify and then remove.

There are several threads on this forum about removing a cable between the right and left boards - a cable that possibly functions to ensure all four channels come on at the same time.

For example, Charlie1 and Fredrik discuss it in this thread from 2007 entitled “Direction of Internal Cables”

Understood, afraid I can't help with that one.
