Linn Katan link board

Post by Kalle05 »

Katan speakers comes with 2 link boards attached to both speakers.
Should you remove the link board that is not in use and leave only the board that is in use ?

Linn manual says this:
Replace both link boards on the
speaker with the chosen board
outermost.
Ensure the collars are fully tightened

Both boards should be in place at all times.

The one closest to the cabinet can be in either orientation. The configuration words for the configuration you want to use (e.g. single wire passive) on the outer board should be facing you.

I took out the active cards from my 4100 and changed the speaker link boards to biwire passive, now i can enjoy listening to music much more, my ears could not stand the ”active” sound.
The downgrade was an upgrade for me 😀
