How do you care for contacts of interconnects and loudspeaker connections?

what do you use to clean contact surfaces of interconnect plugs, loudspeaker bananas and rca - sockets?
Sometimes a plain cotton cloth is not cleaning enough so what do you use than?
Alcohol?
Contact cleaning fluid?
Ballistol oil (which is said to leave no resins and is free of acids)
Would be interested to hear your advice.
