Now Defender has made me search for a Bond movie where you hear a kind of similar use of the flutes as background music to build up the tension in some of the scenes........

I love this one. I have “Jazz på svenska”.

For those who like pop but will not admit to it (and the rest of us) I would like to recommend Pet Shop Boys “Fundamental” album.
I find it to be a masterpiece from their hands and it sounds gorgeous through my cd player. I have the vinyl copy as well.
