The point in the article is that now finally they can get vinyl to catch up with high res digital...........

Just think how much easier it’ll be for you vinyl junkies to be able to hear all that rumble, wow and flutter and dust balls on your styli, whilst us digital donuts can just wipe the jam off our cd’s and enjoy perfect sound forever!
