I'm not familiar with that pressing, but I'm not surprised that it doesn't sound good. In fact I have yet to hear a Pearl Jam record that does. This pressing might be an option, at least it's not expensive:

Then again, I'm very sceptical regarding remasters. They tend to screw up the timing and musical flow of the music.

I used to have that pressing along with this:

I found the standard pressing much better than the remastered, and it's 1/10 the price! I sold the Mo-Fi for a bit more than I paid for it and never looked back.

I have also this one (first UK pressing MASTERDISK RL):

MOFI is a lot better ...

Can you suggest the best vinyl version of Roxy Music - For Your Pleasure (1973)?
Thanks

Based on experience with various Bob Marley and Fairport Convention albums, I'd say it'll be hard to find a better one than this one:

Or this one:

Once you've heard the difference between those digitally remastered reissues and the originals, you won't touch the former any more...

Tendaberry may you also suggest which is the best vinyl version of the first Roxy Music album?

I have the UK-original, which does sound very good:

As an alternative, also consider a US-original like this one:
https://www.discogs.com/Roxy-Music-Roxy ... se/2385857 It is, however, more expensive than the UK original.

I am tempted by Mobile Fidelity’s reissue of Supertramps “Breakfast in America” (new record) in the “Original Master recording” series but it is not cheap. Is it any good?

The original UK pressing is so good that I think it will be very hard to beat. It’s one of the best productions / recordings I have.

Thank you Charlie1.
I am listening to Billy Joels “Its Still Rock and Roll to Me” from Glass Houses. I cannot get my hands down. This perfect original 1980 copy bought for next to nothing. :-)

I have never heard a Mobile Fidelity Original Master Recording that impressed me. They have always sounded weird. Usually any random pressing has been more musical.

Thank you Fredrik.
I will look for a cheaper solution.
As I have no reason to fiddle with system setup anymore my attention has moved on to my record collection.
Some of my teen records are in great shape and some less so. I am starting to understand why some people use gloves to handle their records! :-)
I have untill now not done anything special to take care of my collection but I feel it coming. I have to buy some extra inner and outer sleeves.

I have to agree with Fredrik here. In the past year I have bought quite a few US originals to replace my MoFi records and the difference was always shocking. That is, how shockingly bad the MoFi lp's are. I have sold most of them by now.

It is kind of wild to think about the fact that most of my best sounding records I bought when I was in my teens many years ago.
I had heard what my big brother was playing loud in his room and him being 10 years older made me go for 60’s and 70’s groups even though I lived in the 80’s.
That many of them have survived several turntables and carts are a small miracle.

This is for the Worst Vinyl Pressings
Norah Jones Come Away with Me,
Blue Note Recording EU Re-issue 2015
full of distortions and siblings
Is it my system? ... maybe ... but others report the same issue for the LP
the SACD is said to have used the 16bit 44kHz data and run it through an DSD converter
