AV5105 conventional design?

Post by hcl »

I read on another forum a comment on Linn AV5105 that it uses the integrated power amps in the output stages such as in AV5125. I thought that AV5105 was mainly a conventional design with a conventional power supply such as LK280, Klout. Could anyone clear this issue for me?

You are correct. The 5105 is a conventional design with discrete output transistors (as opposed to integrated circuits) and a large mains transformer (as opposed to a switching power supply).

The LK240 is a mono version of the 5105.
