Help! Any EAC experts out there?

Post by David Neel »

I've just started using EAC, instead of dbpoweramp, to try to reap the sonic benefits mentioned on here.

Apart from its unfriendliness, which is monumental, I'm finding that it rips VERY slowly - about real time! Is this normal, or is there a setting I can change?

I gave up on EAC and use DBpoweramp instead, much faster and user friendly.

Not to knock anyone's findings on the EAC results, but I'm in the hobby to enjoy myself.

dBPowerAmp does not cause any frustration as I'm sure you know.

I would need a EAC for Dummies setup guide. Good thread. Hope someone can explain. I guess once one is over the learning curve EAC would be just repeated thousands of times.

Thanks for these replies! I've reverted to dbpoweramp as I just can't take the unfriendliness of EAC. As Salty says, it's about enjoyment.
