Interesting what they write about the new "Harmonihyllan 24":

"We now only offer one type of high-class shelf in a few well-selected designs.
This 24-shelf outperforms several older, more expensive models, and we think so is also a step up aesthetically."

So less expensive and superior, quite an achievement.......

Yes, I'll be curious to read Thomas' impressions of the 24, especially with his experience of the now older versions of the Harmoni shelves... reads like the "older, more expensive models" are no longer available. I prefer the old look, myself, but hard to argue against "less expensive and superior"

At one time Anders had switched to Norway Spruce for musical quality. I tried a shelf from him and liked it so I investigated Sitka Spruce here and was pleased so I had a number of shelves made of it. My racks use reference bottoms and Tors made from Sitka Spruce with the Truds made of birch. It is very good sounding but a quite expensive wood costing more than solid walnut.

Would be interesting if Källa and the Boazus played on the new superior Harmonihyllan 24 rack.

Källa and Boazu were standing on the Harmonihyllan 24 rack with a VAS bottom isolation shelf.

There was no other rack to compare with, but it sounded superb so my impression of these new models is very positive.

Thanks for sharing Fredrik. If I recall correctly, you have considerable experience with Harmonihyllan so, even without direct comparison at Tonläget, that is a very positive impression.

I have experience with most of the older Harmonihyllan shelves; Oden, Tor, Mimer, Sleipner, Schabrak. There have been quite many and in different heights, width and woods, so lots of possible combinations.

It’s a bit of a relief that there is now only the wide 24 shelf and an optional VAS bottom. It would be nice to know exactly how they compare and if it’s worth it having my spruce Tor shelves replaced.

I'd call that considerable ;)

Källa & both Boazus certainly seemed at home on 24 & VAS. Shame it's not as easy to compare Harmoni versions as it was to hear the difference between Boazu 1.1 and 2 in your clips.

Yes, I think after a lot of trials Harmonihyllan reached now a state of maturity and they say this new 24-shelf outperforms several older, more expensive models.
