Hello all, I am currently looking into improving my networking infrastructure if at all possible - I depend on Wi-Fi so looking for anybodies best experiences to improve sound further.
My current setup is: ISP router with wireless on the ISP router turned off - connected by Ethernet to an adjacent ASUS AC2900 Router (wireless is switched on here) - then the ASUS AC2900 has a Mesh Connection to an identical ASUS AC2900 downstairs - the Ethernet from the ASUS downstairs connects to the Hi-Fi Streamer.
The ASUS is just using its own PSU, and plugged into the same 6-way power block with the rest of the Audio.
Does this sound like a sensible way to connect a Streamer which does not have Wi-Fi functionality built in, yet still maintain a good solid sound. Or maybe this could be improved upon further? The ASUS downstairs is located about 6 feet away from the Streamer and I use CAT 8 cable (not an audiophile make) between the ASUS and the Streamer.

Have you seen this thread? There's a lot very good information on optimising a network for a streamer: https://www.lejonklou.com/forum/viewtop ... =13&t=5677
