Wallop turntable

Post by Fred11 »

We all love Swedish hifi, so this is interesting:

I think it is in Swedish, so you would have to translate if English other language is preferred. It seems that the excelent shop Tonlaget which also sells LK has it. https://www.tonlaget.se/
Anyone from Sweden heard it?

Rega P8 territory in price. Looks like it has a Rega tonearm. Would be interesting to see the innards. Looks like an expensive Axis in design.

It seems a bit like a modern day Axis with a Rega arm (it's actually a Moth RB220), probably a very good choice, if you can't afford an LP12. It's actually Wallop with only one "p".

The technical part sounds very interesting and the testimony by Anders at Tonlaget is quite something, knowing that he really knows Linn, tune-dem and Lejonklou. Like Källa it sounds like enthusiasts has put their soul into this, just get a feeling of sincerity and passion reading their homepage and in this time of commercialization I really like that authentic approach. I will go to Gothenburg soon and if possible try side by side Källa and lp12.
The Wallop, with one p.
Oh, and I like the style, even though for me, a square box would be even better, more functionalistic in design.
