I need advice
I would like to connect a subwoofer to my linn active system (linn majik 140, linn majik i, linn majik 6100 wit akurate DS),

Anybody can recommand something? My linn's dealer say Rel is good, or BK électronic (xlss 400),
Is it better to wait for give a linn majik 126 or akurate 226 second hand?

I"m not really an advocate of adding a subwoofer to a dedicated listening two channel main system -no TV- but the most musical & seamless subwoofer I've ever heard was a 5150, so my advise would be to wait until a nice used one pops up on Ebay or the like.

It's indeed my fear, I don't want to alter the quality of my system but still want to have more punchy bass especially when watching movies... so I'm going to wait for a linn box....

I was in a simular situation a few years ago - M140s, Akurate Exaktbox-i and looking for a way to get some more ”punch” watching movies.

Got a M126 and 3 M112s (had to travet 400 km to get them - but I havent seen another M126 since so they are quite rare).

Was it worth it? Oh yes….would like to get my hand on another one… Have chnged the speakers to MIsos and the sub is still adding some weight to it.

That said - of you can’t get you hands on a Linn sub, I would look at REL.

Finally I just found at "otic shop" in London an akurate 221, I'm waiting for it to pass customs and be able to listen ...!
