Seeking suggestions for temporary solution

Post by bonzo »

Well it appears my Kandid is on its way out. Ive definitely got a bunch of hours on it, so not the end of the world. My money is a little funny right now 😬… so replacing it with Kandid or Ekstatik isnt an option. I dont want to stop enjoying music, nor do I want to possibly damage my music collection. What is a solid performing Cartridge that I could use and ultimately keep it once im able to spring for a new equivalent or greater cartridge?

Thanks for your time,
Jon

Send it to Roberto Torlai in Italy to have it refurbished. He has access to exactly the same cantilever and diamond cut, as Linn uses. I paid around € 620,- including postage a few years ago, when I had my Akiva refurbished. I'm very happy with it.
He only writes in Italian, but there's Google for translating it.
If that's not an option, maybe a Koil as an interim solution?
