Linn has gradually turned into crap since Ivor left.
No, they haven't.
Very very expensive garbage. But let me rephrase my first statement: Linn is probably still gradually turning into crap.
Some components are better for sure, but I'd bet that a well installed 90's Linn system (Lingo, Troika, Linto, Karin, Klout, Keltik etc.) would be better than a equally well installed top system (digital LP12 or pure digital) of today.
What do you think? You'd have to use everything in 90's and todays top-of-the-line.

Wouldn't you say Darth Wader fits that description well enough? :D
LP12 can obviously sound fantastic, but to me it's almost an elusive quality since there are so many parts that might be off balance and destroy the vibe.
Its very satisfying to play a LP when it sounds great, but all in all I'm a happier person without a turntable, since I have to don't think about needles, belts, if someone might have bumped it, scratched records, warped records etc.
You obviously tend to worry a lot, I never worry about those things. I've never had anyone bump into my LP12, in my collection of around 3.000 lp's I don't have a single one, where a scratch disturbs me or the record gets stuck. Only one lp out of 3000 is so warped, that it skips at one point.
Anyway, even if my LP12 isn't adjusted to the standards of Tom or Fredrik, it still beats other potential turntable candidates.
Oh, and I don't think the Karousel and Radikal/2 upgrades are crap...

Agree! I edited my reply to teatime, what do you think about my bet? :)

The problem is that I wouldn't say Darth Vader uses his powers for positive purposes. Not that Deadpool is a paragon of virtue, but he does appear to be working to help people. Maybe I need to look farther afield for a super powered maniac. There apparently was Iron Maniac (a maniac Iron Man from an alternate universe) but I don't know much about him except that he was apparently evil.

Given that you (for some reason unknown to me) chose Darth in the first place I think you should keep him. 😁
