Help organizing ear buds from best to worst

Post by doze84 »

Hi Forum!

A while back(late I know) I started the journey of deciding on what ear buds to buy and what bargains that might exist out there.
Yesterday I found a youtube channel that makes a recording of all the in hear head phones they are testing, it's called
"Hi Listen". Since I'm thinking about ordering a pair this month(or soon), it came in handy.

This channel has tested of 30+ pairs of in-ear, and half-in-ear wireless earbuds.

I started to make a list of all the ear phones from best(tune dem/method) to worst, but I soon realized my own short comings in performing many A-B comparisons after one another. In some cases it was clear as day, but other cases I got lost over and over again. So I thought that maybe I could get some help from the Lejonklou forum?

The list is started but not complete in any way.
I will continue to update the list as it gets corrected.
If you think you can help me with this, it's many thanks in advance!

Your YouTube link was just between 6 half-in-ear earbuds... Unless I missed a trick. Not sure where the rest have gone, as you list many more, but if you want help with those 6, I'd narrow it down straight away to the Apple; the SoundPeats and, maybe, the Huawei. It's not easy when you're not listening to the same bit of the song through each, especially with the emotion, dynamic, and perceived volume of the song changing, but those three were the only listenable ones, to me.

$s in the US:
TrueAir2+ $46
(Freebuds ~$80)
Air Pods $160+

If you're already in Apple's garden, then the Air Pods may be more attractive, despite the price, but the TrueAir2s seem like a bargain to me. (based purely on one song, in a YouTube clip ;)

Of course, it depends on whether you want them for casual or critical listening, what you want, your budget, priorities, etc... my opinion doesn't really count as it's your ears & money.

Hi! Thank you I'll update the list. I wasn't sure how popular it would be to have a post full off links, but I can sure add the rest but it's from the same youtube channel. Primarily I'm interested in how musical they are, secondly in price. But AirPods Pro are too expensive anyhow, but still important for comparison I would think.

I've just left apples garden to a purely open source based android phone.
