Best Sondek/turntable picture.

Post by beck »

“Inspired” by the ugly looking Krane Sondek I took a picture of Charlie1’s beautiful Ittok Sondek from his latest clip!

Link removed.

Give it a go. Take a picture and post it. You have to be good to better the one above! :-)

I kind of like the “play” button on the Sondek. ;-)

Not bad John! :-)

Though I do not like the look of the spikes underneath it.............but that is just me.

Here is Charlie1’s without the play button!

Very kind of you beck.

Can I just say that showing the system at the beginning wasn't to show it off. Its a useful habit I've got into so that I can see what the system was when I go back and play clips weeks or months later. Or sometimes to prove to the viewer what is playing.

I know Charlie1.

....but that does not make your Sondek less beautiful! :-)

Can someone please help me to understand how to directly have a picture in the thread. do I need to have a space somewhere where the picture is uploaded and I copy a link in?

You need to start a post and go down under to attachments and press it and then press add files Defender!
Then you can choose a picture and put it directly into your post.

There is something very elegant about Thomas' and Tony's blond plinths combined with the Ekos SE.

Hi Tony Tune-age,

very nice pictures, congratulations! Many thanks for sharing. Do you think that the corner is the best place for the LP12? Have you tried to swap the small cabinet with the LP12?

Kind regards
Ben

They do look pretty neat. My wife has previously expressed her liking of the blonde ones. One day maybe...

kudos to springwood64 for rebelling a bit. I wouldn’t dare post my monochrome Rega here ;)

Yes, I know. But it‘s very hard to find an old fluted plinth, so I bought one of the last new ones in black.
Looks also quite nice even I would prefer the original one.

Oh, and welcome Ben Webster. You could present your system in the “Me and My System” thread!

.......and what a system you have. I am not sure you should rub too much shoulders with me considering my tiny system! :-)

Good morning Ben,

Thank you very much for the kind words...glad you like the pictures! Unfortunately the LP12 would not be very protected from pedestrian traffic, if its location was switched with the cabinet. However the turntable is several inches from both walls, and well out of the way from pedestrians. Plus, there are no negative sonic issues with the turntable location. Also, we did experiment with various turntable locations before making a final decision.

Cheers!

Good morning Springwood,

Thank you very much for the kind comments! And while I do like how the Movingue wood plinth looks (very beautiful indeed), it's considered to be one of the best sounding wood plinths made by Chris Harban and some say the it's best sounding plinth.

Cheers!
