Seems like the security on my PC is stopping opening of these pages.
I have tried via MS Edge, IE and firefox; all state :-
Can’t connect securely to this page
This might be because the site uses outdated or unsafe TLS security settings. If this keeps happening, try contacting the website’s owner.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your kind reply Hermann.
The same thing happens via my phone. It states that drive.google.com uses an unsupported protocol!
The PC is a fully up to date Win10 OS, and the Samsung S9 is also fully up to date.
Strange times...…….

Thanks Defender.

That worked fine.

I like the new bearing too.

Thanks for posting Hermann.

Based on your 2 comparisons, I think the Karousel sounds excellent. Linn are going to have to work overtime to keep up with the demand!

wow with the first clips I thought the clips started at different times just to realize the Cirkus is throwing a lot of information away ... over the whole bandwidth of frequencies. At fist I thought its something else going on in your room. I am impressed.

Did both songs just happen to be airy, ethereal pieces, or is that something in the recording process? Either way, it's clear that the Karousel presents far more of the music & performance(s). In contrast the Cirkus sounds blurred & echoey, like there's extra ringing to the piano, hence why I asked about the music chosen...

Also, can you remind us of the spec of your LP12 so we can understand the context of the improvement from the Karousel, please?

Many thanks for posting - very enlightening.

The room size makes it sound very open and relaxed. The music is not chosen for this reason, but is reproduced in this way. By the way, the recording distance was about 4,5 meters.

The LP12 is a Klimax torqued with ThomasOK values.

I think Hermann has an almost if not maxed out Klimax LP12

Well Two recordings are still available for comparison. One is Dead can dance Live from 2014 ... incredible

Edit

I have one thing to confess. After the conversion to Karousel the adjustment of the tonearm regarding skating and VTF is very easy. Before that I had problems to hear differences in a musical way (tunedem) and fell back into old ways of thinking and listening.

With the upgrade, every tenth of a millimeter of the VTF can be heard clearly. The same applies to skating. It didn't even take a few minutes to reach the right point. That's simply awesome.

Wow! So much better!

It appears that the volume is raised a step or two, but I assume that's not the case? If it's the same, a radical drop of the noise floor must be what's giving me this impression.

Congratulations Linn! I take my hat off and bow.

The preamplifier was switched to mute during the conversion. In fact, it seemed louder afterwards. Not only that, but we were listening at a volume that did not correspond to our listening habits. Fortunately, no one around here listens...
