But since I started this, here is what it’s like after the Karousel (language warning):

Any need for that?

I’m sorry, ‘troll. I did look for something from Linn but found nothing so far on consumer or dealer websites. Considering the tone earlier in the thread I just couldn’t resist the perfect setup! :-) No harm intended.
None taken, Tom. 😎

Bad news for all upgraders: I've heard that Linn has paused all fulfilment of orders as of yesterday until the 24. April.
Can one of the dealers perhaps confirm this? And my new LP12 was supposed to ship today :-(

Yes, that is correct. I just spoke with the dealer and there was an email late yesterday saying that shipments have had to be halted. So my armless deck will remain armless for another few weeks at least, no vinyl this month :(

I am sorry for you guys and also for us as we have been waiting for some nice recordings to be happy with you. Did they told a reason? I mean the company I am working for is happy when we are able to still ship to customers.

Sorry to hear that guys and I really wish everyone that they can hear his Kaousel as soon as possible. I know what I'm talking about...
Just a first impression. The Karousel is installed. Later more with examples which I am recording now.
The very first piano touch of Ann's Dudley plays Art of noice is simply incredible. For me the upgrade at all. A completely new musical experience, I can't express it any other way.

isnt that a nice treat in those times - at least some of us are lucky and are able to make us looking forward to a nice present after we are through with this situation ... we are waiting for more from your side ;)

Yes, that's a shame. At least they are still open, I heard Naim and Rega shut down over a week ago.

My dealer received the following information from Linn today:
Linn is still open to process orders. If the ordered product is in stock, it will be sent immediately.
If the ordered product still needs to be built, Linn will begin manufacturing on April 22nd.
So the question is, how many Karousels (Upgrade-Kits) have already been produced and are waiting for delivery?

update
After a good four hours of vinyl I notice a clear improvement. I'd call it more relaxed, yet more rhythmic. Improved timing, start and stop of a note clearer and the bass has expanded.
So I can repeat the recordings tomorrow, because I recorded them directly.

let it run over night set the alarm for every side of the LP to wake you up to change so we might have the 20 hour break in limit passed ;) (just joking)

It took some time, but here are two examples. Hope the links work. The piece is Anne Dudley plays art of noise in full length.

However, I don't think the recordings show the real potential of Karousel. The piano has gained in "body" in a way that I simply cannot describe with words.
