When I went from Akurate DS and Akurate Kontrol preamp to Akurate DSM some six years ago it was an upgrade for me. As the DSM also acts as preamp it is relevant to consider if you are going to use that or line out to another preamp. The DSM may also have the Exakt option depending on how old it is, I don’t remember if Exakt was included from the start of DSM.
