I'm not sure what you mean by different iterations but I'll try to clarify. X is the 6 socket extender which plugs directly into the mains duplex wall socket with no lead. It has two sets of connections: the top 3 sockets are joined together and connect to the top socket of the duplex, and the bottom 3 are joined together and connect to the bottom socket of the duplex. Generally accepted practice dictates that all components should be connected to one mains socket, as per rule #4 in the link tpetsch included above. That's what we're listening to in the Y clip.
What I hear in the room is a sense of forced pace on Y. It's as if everything is trying to sound fast whether its supposed to be or not. X allows slow music to be slow. On initial impression this can sound sluggish and lacking pace, but I quickly realized it's just bein' real. This aspect has improved with every step of this exercise, so the Revelation was worst and the 6 socket Koppla the best (so far). I have successfully swapped the standard solid core copper wire harness from Integrity into Revelation but I'm waiting on the delivery of some ground screws that were missing, so that's something to look forward to.
In the mean time, here's a fresh round to contemplate:
