Hello,
I´m putting together a single digital source system for my summer house:
Source: Asus Tinker Board and GIGAPORT HD/HD+ DAC with Volumio
Amp: Maybe Tundra 2.0 ?
Speakers: Pobably JBL L26
Great amp would be a Boazu but at least a new one is too expensive. I have found a used Tundra 2.0 at a good price, and since it will be a single source system, do you think it will be good enough to connect the Gigaport DAC directly to the Tundra? I know you all will tell me a pre-amp will improve but that´s not my question. :)
Also, do any of you have any experience with old JBL speakers? I need to place the L26 close to the wall in a 4x4m room, will that work or do they need more space?
Thanks!

Re: Help with summer house system
Gigaport directly to Tundra sounds fine! I have not tested it on very low levels, which could potentially suffer.

You'll be needing a pretty big books[h]elf for those... ;)

Re: Help with summer house system
You could consider a Tidsbury passive pre to allow for a volume control that doesn't throw bits away :)
They're tiny and cheap.

Thank you all!
Fredrik, I plan to play on high level so then I should be fine! :)
Beck, thanks for the YouTube link. I just listened on my laptop and sound a but HiFi-ish but I think they will be fun. 🤘
Tokenbrit, I just love JBLs definition of a bookshelf. :) I will put them on the floor, maybe with some stands.
Sunbeamgls, do you have any experience of Tidsbury passive pre? It looks very nice (same enclousure as Lejonklou?) and it might be better at low levels but probably not at higher levels? A Kikkin, or Kikkin 2 with 2-3 inputs, would be cool.

Re: Help with summer house system
I have one I use in systems from time to time. I used it 4 years ago at the Hifi Wigwam show. Details of the system here:

And feedback on the system from after the show (so you don't have to take my word for it):
