Can DS/0 be upgraded to DSM?

If the DS to DSM conversion is back on (we don't currently have a Linn rep so news travels slowly over here) then you can upgrade any version of Akurate DS to the DSM and you will get all new casework as well.

Presumably the Renews are still ineligible to be re-renewed, or have Linn reversed on that exklusion?

no upgrades for Renew available and I dont think that will ever change. What I think will happen is upgrade possibilities from DS to DSM once in a while but only for limited times as we see now

So what is the latest thinking about sound quality of DS vs DSM these days?

that has not changed - DS sounds better than the same level DSM. Its maybe not one evaluation step. But its there.
And from now on we dont know anymore as there is nothing to compare for future steps.
My ADS/1 is now in the factory for an upgrade to Katalyst (no ADSM conversion) and I think I have 5-7years from now on before another upgrade really makes the money well spent.

Yes, it is back until 28th of feb but conditions are that you have to be the first owner ie bought new.
