I am planning to use my Linn Majik 109 speakers with a recently purchased Naim Uniti, but am not sure how to use the speakers in a single wire configuration. The user's manual suggests using BASS + and SUPERTWEETER - on the speaker terminals.
However, I think I came across a suggestions elsewhere that was a little different. Any help much appreciated, thanks.
How best to single-wire Linn Majik 109 speakers?

Re: How best to single-wire Linn Majik 109 speakers?
Fredrik has always recommended using the tweeter inputs (not super tweeter), which is how my 140s are connected.
It's easy enough to compare yourself though.

+2. I have tried this on 109s, 140s, and some of the 3K Array speakers and the tweeter inputs are the most musical.

Thanks. Just to be clear, then, instead of following Linn's single wiring instructions (bass + and supertweeter -), Fredrik and others recommend tweeter+ and tweeter -?
I will give it a try, but would be interested in the thinking behind this. Is there any observable downside (such as weaker bass)?
Thanks again.

Yes, tweeter plus and tweeter minus. I don't believe I noticed any downside.

I prefer + s-treble and - lower bass in Akurate 242:s. I know Frederik recommended treble + and treble - but i tried over two weeks and went back to first mentioned. Frederik made me new cables recently ond this thing come current because cable speakers end are too short that connection method. I have to cut little of cable insulation my preferred wiring.
Cables are fantastic otherwise.
I have to use Neutrik speakons in my KCT, other thing i have to mention: In Speakons sound a way better when remove both connectors cable clamps and extend cables apart. These clamps press cables tight togerher and have on negative influence in sound.
